In my teen years I watched a lot of "Beavis & Butthead".
(Explains a lot, huh?)
And one of my favorite episodes was the Christmas special where they did a parody of the Charles Dickens story about Scrooge. Except in this case, Scrooge was an oppressive restaurant manager who was Beavis who treated his employees like crap (amongst other things).
Anyway, so the ghosts show him his fate.
And the ghost of the future takes him to a grave yard.
And he shows Beavis his grave.
And his head stone says:
"Here lies Beavis. He never scored"
Ha.
Anyway, what does this have to do with your emails?
A lot!
Because sadly, this is the fate of many Internet marketers.
They're never gonna score.
No, not sexually.
(Although that may be the case, too...)
I'm talking about scoring in the business sense.
You know... succeeding.
Quitting their jobs.
Getting out of having to do client work.
Or simply getting to a place where they aren't struggling.
Why does this happen???
Because of the attitude people have online. Fact is, the VAST majority of people in business have their minds completely backasswards. They quickly become goo-roo fanboys always looking at investments as expenses. They want everything free while bristling at (GASP!) paying for anything. And, instead of focusing over time on excelling at something (like email, the #1 skill IMHBAO), they are always hopping like grasshoppers from one new "thing" to the next (video, social media, or whatever).
More:
Fact is, Beavis never scores for a reason.
And it's the same reason most IM'ers never score;
Lack of self improvement.
Beavis never changes, does he? Just sits around day in and day out watching TV with Butthead laughing at MTV videos and eating nachos. He doesn't keep himself in shape. Doesn't edu-ma-cate himself. And never does anything to make himself better today than he was yesterday.
Thus his headstone says he never scores.
And it's the same with IM'ers.
Most are simply not willing to do what it takes.
Not willing to take risks.
And, not willing to make sacrifices (money, time, energy, etc).
So they'll never score either.
Sad, isn't it?
Hey, if you want to score I can show you how.
It's what I teach in "Email Players" each month. I show you exactly what kind of emails I'm using to score with (that you can model or adapt to whatever you sell), along with the strategies and tactics I'm using to keep my skillz sharp.
Not everyone qualifies to subscribe, of course.
For one thing, it's expensive.
So if you look at it as a "cost" vs an "investment", don't bother.
For another, each issue is 16 tightly packed pages.
So if you judge info by page count (and not content), don't bother.
And finally, it requires implementation.
So if you want to sleep with it under your pillow and learn by "osmosis" (and not actually write emails), don't bother.
Harsh?
Maybe.
But I want you to SCORE.
(Scoring is cool!)
Not go to your grave a success virgin...
