The Grinch is da MAN.

Yeah, he's mean.

Yeah, he's nasty.

And yeah, he's got termites in his smile and his heart's an empty

hole. (The "Grinch" song makes him sound like a politician...)

But I bet he'd make one heckuva marketer.

And here are a few reasons why:

1. Inventive

While it's true the Grinch is a sociopathic scum bag when he

fleeces Whoville, it's hard not to admire his ability to pull it

off (in one night!) almost all by himself (we have to give SOME

credit to Max who pulled the sled).

2. Quick Thinking

Coming up with all those successfully elaborate plans on the spot

-- especially when under that kind of pressure -- is a pretty handy

skill to have in ye olde marketing "tool box."

3. Makes Everything Right

The dude STOLE Christmas -- looting an entire town of probably tens

of thousands of smackeroos worth of gifts, presents and food (the

bastard even took the last can of Who Hash!) And yet, somehow he

was STILL able to make up for it and was even given the honor of

carving the roast beast.

Those are some serious "PR" skillz.

4. Passion

Once the Grinch gets smitten by something good (such as when Cindy

Lou Who is in trouble, or when Martha May flirts with him in class)

he's capable of all kinds of creativity and problem-solving feats

and miracles.

And some pretty clever ones at that...

So yeah, the Grinch is a marketing stud.

And you know what?

I'd bet green money that YOUR marketing will stick out like a Who

fart at dinner if you became more "Grinch like", too.

(At least in the ways above.)

OK, that's it for today.

Be safe.

And have a merry Christmas.
